How many e-mail addresses should we have and what should we use them for?

As long as you are on the internet, you will need an email address to fulfill a variety of different requirements. If you would like to get paperless statements and emails from you or any of your banking or financial institutions, you will need a personal address. The same goes for any subscription-based services like Evernote, Hulu, Blizzard, Xbox game pass, etc. All of these websites and services require you to sign up with an email address. Each one of these services also sends out emails to all of their subscribers and customers, so the service can tell their customers about the latest new products, movies, items, books, and any other information they should know.

But some people don't like to have just one email address, as they don't want their personal email to become clogged with redundant and useless email. So they have an email address for their financial services and bills, an email address for subscriptions and services, and another email address for random websites and apps that they signed up to over the years.

Having multiple email addresses is a great way to organize all of the incoming mail, and it will also keep your financials safe because you are not sending the same email address that you gave to your bank and investing account to sketchy sites Because you wanted to download one of their freebies.

But having two or more email addresses is difficult and time-consuming. It may keep all of your personal information safe, but you know how to log in and log out of your different email platforms. If you do not want to sign in to every single one of them every time you want to use one to check what email you have received, then you can link all of your email addresses together so that you can receive them all in a single inbox on your smartphone. But to do that, you now have to sign up for a fourth email address!

However, just because you sign up for an app or service does not mean you need all of their email updates. This is especially true if you used an email to sign up for a bunch of apps. Instead of using one of your personal email addresses to sign up for Angry Birds or Duolingo, you can use a temporary email address instead.

There are two types of temporary email address services: One service simply generates fake email addresses. The other service provides the user with an email address and a temporary mailbox to send and receive mail. But the temporary mailbox will delete after a certain amount of time, so the user doesn't have to deal with it anymore. The temporary email address should be used for smartphone apps and small websites, and any other site requiring your email to download something. If you give any of these platforms an actual email address, your inbox will fill up with spam faster than you can log. So keep yourself safe and keep yourself organized; use a temporary email address whenever you can.
